Why Students Should Start Reading Right Now

Reading is not just a habit or a passion, it is a passage to escape reality and get drowned in the story of another universe. The books we read, especially college students help understand the world better and develop new insights and ideas. Getting lost inside a book is a feeling that can’t be expressed in words. To get that, you need to read and immerse yourself totally in the story you are reading.

Unleash the Nostalgia within You at Bunta Bar in Delhi

To the point – An Amusing Bar with a Desi Swirl-Bunta Bar

Bunta Bar is the new kid on the block. It is fun and quirky. Seated in the kernel of Janpath, this place takes you on a roller coaster ride back to your childhood, reminiscing the days when after playing for hours under the scorching summer sun, you were greeted with a pleasant summer cooler, popularly known as Bunta. Aah that sharp piercing cry out to your friends still resonates in the ears - ‘Bunta wala bhaiyaa agaya’!

Bunta Bar
in the capital city is the right place to be in to rekindle those treasured memories. The ambience is vibrant and interior is spacious. Bunta bottles are found everywhere. Even, the chandeliers are made up of Bunta bottles. The menu is as quirky as the décor is. Patrons of all ages can come here, and there is something for everyone. Flock into here to expect nothing less than tongue-tickling drinks and mouth-crackling Indian snacks – it has upped the delicious quotient of Delhi restaurants and bars.

Start your evenings with Babaji Ki Booti, Pehchan Kon and Baba Ramdev – they are served in cute-looking tea pots, and are high on taste. Next, savor your taste buds with their signature Bunta cocktails in the flavors of Kala Khatta Vodka and Aam Panna Bunta. To say the least, they were equally good but not less.

Just because it is a bar, don’t think the food served will be of okayish standard. In fact, the food menu is full of eccentricities; pure desi touch is found in every dish rolled out from the kitchen. In starters, try to order Chakna Platter, Mangodi Vada and Baigan Bharta taco and for main course, treat yourself with Rajha Chilli Pork, Kasundi Fish and Mutton Curry. The dishes are cooked to perfection, the fish is so succulent that it simply melts in your mouth and the mutton is also decently cooked to exude out the rich flavors.

May Laughter Bless You: The Success Story of Kenny Sebastian

Comedy is a joy-evoking activity and probably it is the only way of preventing war and promoting peace. Comic enthusiasts are strong advocates of comedy being a form of art. Although the art has undergone some serious changes over the years, the motto of comic acts has remained the same and that is to evoke happiness into the minds of the audience.

Modern stand-up comedy

The history of modern stand-up comedy can be traced back to 1970’s when a new generation of comedians started this new type of comic. One of the important features of the modern stand-up comic is the inclusion of socio-political jokes that were not common earlier. Suddenly the comic scenario witnessed a significant revolution, as comic artists started using their freedom of speech and expression, in order to point out the society issues in a funnier tone. New comedy clubs were established in the USA, UK, and many other countries. But, India was still far from experiencing such an innovative form of comedy until 2000’s. However, once the Indian stand-up comedians started participating in the art, not only did we laugh but also became proud of them. One such stand-up artist is Kenneth Sebastian, whom most of us know by his nickname ‘Kenny’.

The journey of Kenny

Kenny was born in a middle-class family and his father is an Indian army officer. His childhood was a significant one, as he travelled across the country and had done his schooling in different schools. Right from his childhood, Kenny has been a creative personality and had an interest in filmmaking. He started making short films at the age of 15 and until he became 23, he already had directed and acted in a comedy show aired on ‘Comedy Central’. And the name of the show was ‘The Living Room’.

Learn To Pack Like a Pro: Backpacking Tips For Students

Are you planning to take a backpacking trip around the country?  Then you must learn how to pack small if want to live for the chaos of travelling in budget as a college student. Imagine the great many benefits of chasing down your train with a small backpack that may leave unapologetically on time (for a change). With a light luggage you will be able to squeeze into (or climb on top of) the only train to the village in Rajasthan.

Sometimes travelling in India can get even crazier, a time may come when you may need to make an emergency stop at the police station to bail your tour guide out of jail! In such circumstances you will need small luggage to save you and your fellow travel mates and cram them in a small fishing boat as your scheduled ferry leaves, to eventually splash your way to the island hotel where you can watch the sunset while sipping margaritas on time.

WHY ALL GIRLS SECRETLY GUSH OVER ROYAL ENFIELD RIDERS

In India, the country with a population of 1.25 billion usually there are more single guys than single girls. And out of all those single men if one guy gets some attention from a girl (may be just a smile or a flick of hair tucking it in shyly behind her ears) that day turns out to be one of the best for him.

You could see him inflating his chest to go up to his friends or his crush trying to brag about that isolated incident. But the girl on the other hand would have a strikingly odd reaction instead of handing him over jealousy in a cup. She would probably go somewhat like this – Oh! This one girl gave you attention?! Let me pull out the list of guys who flirted with me while I was walking to the bus stop 10 minutes ago!!!

And just like that all this man’s pride and happiness would be shattered into a million pieces. But there is a breed of men who do not have to feel any such shame when it comes to getting the attention of women. In fact they get plenty of that while riding their beefy Royal Enfield motorcycle where girls peek from above their boyfriends’ or father’s shoulders and steal glances of this royal bad boy!

But why? What is so grand about a pair of wheels attached on to some metal making a hellish noise that makes women go gaga?

We tried to pinpoint some reasons why a Royal Enfield bike makes women gush over the rider.

We believe a man riding a Royal Enfield is a confident and stable person who is firm about what exactly he wants in life. They are the breed who do not hesitate to stand up for what they like and are loud about their principles and choices, just like the ride of their choosing. This is probably the primary reason that sub-consciously draws women’s attention towards a rider of an RE regardless of his looks and attire. A confident man should be a successful one as well, hence a natural choice for women.

Another unusual reason but an effective one is the price point and status statement attached to owning a class bike such as the Royal Enfield. One will seldom see a middle-class man buying an Enfield to get to work faster. The motivation for buying an Enfield is must more than necessity, it is about pride and the overall experience of having the beast hum underneath you while riding, this lures in women’s attention.

And finally, while somewhat unlikely but since RE riders have a bike-brothers club-like thing going about them which makes them feel a sense of niche community, many women like that. Everybody likes to feel included in a group of some kind and this cult feeling of like-mindedness lures in riders and their women to this regal renegade of riding into the sunset, cinematically without a care in the world.

Now that we have established why a Royal Enfield can get you out of perpetual singlehood for life, maybe it is time you got an RE for yourself. If you are in college then check out a YUP Card subscription to get amazing discount offers for maintenance of your royal beauty at the Kolkata Bike Zone, the best place to get Royal Enfield Services in Kolkata.
